I'm a Winner!

A few weeks ago one of my favourite artists, Angela Smythe, had a contest on faceBook.
The winner would receive a print of her wonderful Mr. Fox entitled "Take that Leap of Faith", along with several other goodies featuring her delicious artwork.

To enter the contest one wrote of their own personal "leap of faith". 

I told of my daily leaps during the last year, 

dealing with my diagnosis of cancer.

Imagine my surprise and delight when Angela

 notified me I was one of three winners!

My package arrived a few days ago and 

you can see what marvelous artwork it contained.  

I'm still blown away and a very happy recipient!

Give Away!

 It's been a long time since I've done a give-away here at Altered by the Sea.  So when I scored this entire box of 9 boxes of vintage  4th Class Mail labels recently at a thrift store for $1.00, I thought it would be fun to share the wealth!

There are 20 labels in each small box - 

and how cool will they look on a journal page or in a collage?

Holiday Give Away

It's the season of giving, so this week Altered by the Sea is getting into the spirit by having a mixed media book blow-out of a give-away!



These are all wonderful books, in new or nearly new condition and they can be winging their way to you as soon as you give me the word.

200th Post!

Wow! 200 posts! I was pretty nervous about starting a blog, but with the gentle, yet persistent urging of Lisa Hoffman I took the plunge and now, here we are 200 posts later. And many thanks to all of you who have dropped in "by the sea".

To mark this milestone I'm doing a give-away. 3 sets of 4 marbled paper wrapped pencils. Since I found out how much fun this is to do I've been wrapping every pencil in sight!
