The Last Leaves of Fall

As December begins, we bid adieu to
 the glorious colours of autumn.

Wild turkeys on Thanksgiving Day.

All these shots from Sebastopol,

Autumn Splendor

Autumn colour,

rusty leaves.

Here's a couple of turkeys that survived the holiday.

Favourite Time of Year

Autumn has always spoken to me,

School beginning, holidays coming,

splashes of vivid colour, cool evenings, sunny afternoons.

And blue, blue skies.

Suitcase Saturday - Spring!

Yellow Buttercup

Usually when I think of vintage suitcases
I think rich browns, lovely sepia,
and maybe a matte black or two.

 Yellow Buttercup

But here's a spring bouquet of colourful beauties

I can't guarantee that their fragrance is quite as sweet,

But the luscious pinks, blues and yellows
make me want to pack one and travel down a springtime lane!

Scarecrow Time!

For the last three years Cambria has been scarecrow territory every October.  There are more every year and last count shows over 350 for this year, not bad for a town of only 6,000.  Different groups, organizations and individuals sponsor and create them and they are everywhere.

In front of businesses, along Hwy 1, on bridges and at the lighthouse lens.  These two are my personal favourites - caught by the photographic lens of Destiny Carter.

 Here's a few more!
