The Hand That's DealtAnother collage with encaustic wax. This one, entitled The Hand That's Dealt, features a self portrait by Frida Kahlo, a trio of Loteria cards and a quote from Frida about death "I hope the leaving is joyful and I hope never to return".
Done on a 11x14" canvas board covered in black and white tissue paper, and covered in clear and red encaustic wax. The quote is printed on velum, and a metal heart is added to Frida's necklace.
