Cigar Box Wednesday

On this 70th anniversary of Pearl Harbor it seemed appropriate to show the contents of this decorative tin, and to extend a thank you to all WWII vets.

Photos, medals, booklets, postcards and other ephemera left over from my The Pity of War exhibition early this year.

All waiting until a future time when I visit this subject again.

  1. Okay, I've been way self-absorbed with my own unselfishness (including: working for The Man when really, I don't like The Man right now) and also with slack (I get home and drop (not the same as duck and cover)) and feeling sorry for self (unselfishly, of course).

So, obviously, I've missed many things, here. And the fact that I forgot it was the anniversary really makes me think of myself and how self-absorbed I am.

Smooches to you and you-know-who (hint: not myself).

  2. Chris - I knew it was Pearl Harbor Day, but was surprised when I added it up and realized it was the 70th anniversary.
