Finally got everything together and managed to get some time to start stenciling. The first lesson is on making a portfolio to keep our stenciled pages in. And here's mine. It was lots of fun - I did learn that spray paint is lots harder to get off than acrylic, LOL! Guess who's going to wear gloves next time?!

How great...stencils have been calling to me - well, years of knowing what Michelle Ward and Lisa Hoffman do with them and the spray cans have given me a hankering. Your work looks fantastic. Our apartment living is not too conducive to spray painting but I bet some alternative can be discovered. Hope you'll show us when you have new samples.
ReplyDeleteMarylinn - Actually, Mary Ann addresses the "inside" spraying problem. Spray inks - no fumes, no spray back - Ranger makes a great line called Adirondack (rangerink.com) - beautiful colours. I've used these and like them very much. Mary Ann also mentions Maya Mists,which I haven't used. Go for it - it's lots of fun!
