See - Sea Glass!

My friend Joen gave this marvelous thing to me for my birthday a few weeks ago. It's a frame with glass on both sides and she filled it with sea glass! She is an inveterate beachcomber and rarely comes home without her pockets full of sea glass and moonstones.

I found the perfect place for it in our kitchen window. The early morning light flows through and the glass sparkles and shines as though it had just been washed by an ocean wave.

  1. hi, i found your site by way of your friend LISA HOFFMAN - and i had to take a tour.

i love this piece (i think you said your friend made it for you), as i too love sea glass. this is a beautiful way to display your collection. i have mine in bottles with water, and in bowels on tables throughout my house.

i have a question for you, about this. did you (or she) coat the glass with something to make them look so shiny? or are they in water?

i was thinking of using either gel medium or a spray varnish to help them look brighter . . . just wondering what you do?

thanks, now back to see more of your blog.
