When trailers were acceptable, even ordinary beachfront housing on PCH...in our lifetimes! And towns such as your Morro Bay and its neighbors were filled with locals only, some of them selling shell souvenirs to my siblings and me. I still return for the clam chowder. Visit California, especially the quieter spots. Many good things haven't changed.
