The Triple R 24 x 36"
Rusty strands of barbed wire and 2 rusty horseshoes complete this view of ranch life. The show runs through October at the Allied Arts Gallery at the Old Grammar School in Cambria. See you there, podner!
Allied Arts of Cambria opened their latest show last Friday night - "Farm & Ranch Life in San Luis Obispo County". This is a juried show and my piece The Triple R was accepted. I used cheese cloth and garnet gel to create the hills, clouds and texture of the foreground. Craft acrylics were painted and splattered on and used for the brand stencil of 3R. A rubber stamp of barbed wire provides a border across the bottom and lower right side.
Wow....high five.

Allowing for cobwebs in the mind, was the Triple R the ranch from "Spin and Marty" from the Mickey Mouse Club? I can hear the words to the song...stop me, please.
