The church at Lanteglos a few miles outside of Polruan across the river from Fowey in Cornwall. Daphne du Maurier was married here in 1932. We visited on our trip to England several years ago.
The church yard is home to dozens of graves dating back hundreds of years. We were alone there and it was very easy to imagine by-gone voices whispering to us as we walked through the tombstones.
As in so many old cemeteries, the headstones canted at different angles, and were covered with lichen, and vastly weathered by time.
