Cigar Box Wednesday
I think this may be my oldest cigar box - I love how distressed it is, and the still beautiful artwork on the inside lid.
It's full of - metal Leaves - shiny, rusted, thick, thin, different colours, different sizes.
All waiting to adorn the front of a journal or to be the crowning touch of an assemblage.
Flea markets, swap meets, Art from Scrap, - it's Autumn - leaves are everywhere!

I think this is your most beautiful box, inside and out!
ReplyDeleteMargot - I love the contrast between the very distressed and well-worn outside and then the beautiful and still vivid lithograph on the inside lid.

This is a great cigar box. And what jewels are inside! Too cool (sorry for the pun...haha) It has been cooler over here today then it has been lately.. so I can sort of now think that autumn is coming.. and leaves are what make me think of the season too. And thanks for coming by and your comments, I really appreciate your words and support.
ReplyDeleteAmanda - With the coming of fall you get cooler weather and over here by the coast we clear off and start getting some sun! I love autumn, it's my favourite time of year.
