Alphabet blocks, large ones, small ones, new ones and some very wonderful vintage ones. I have so many of these that they fill three boxes! They look great in an assemblage and I love the way you can use them to spell out a title or a phrase.
Purchased at swap meets, flea markets, eBay, and the most recent aquisitions (above), at the Troutdale Antique Mall, just down the road from Multnomah Falls, on our recent trip to Portland.
you could use them, a la surrealists, to start poems or stories ...
